"SEPTEMBER 11: ONE YEAR AFTER"
The New York Metro American Studies Association (NYMASA), in partnership with The September 11 Digital Archive, will be sponsoring "September 11: One Year After," an interdisciplinary conference to be held at the Museum of the City of New York on October 19, 2002.
The conference will consist of four panels:
"Journalism After September 11"
A conversation by contributors to the book of the same name (Routledge, 2002)
"Urgent History: The Tension between Documenting and Commemorating"
Museum specialists respond to September 11th.
"9/11 and the Crisis of Leadership"
Three New York City University Presidents respond to September 11th.
"Trauma, Memory, and History"
A panel on teaching September 11th.
The Conference will begin Saturday, October 19th at 9 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. The Museum is located at 1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street in New York City. There will be a $10 fee for registration and lunch
