Registration is continuing for the Southern Learning Communities Conference: Transforming Education for a "New South" at the University of Central Arkansas campus 24-26 October 2002.
Learning communities are meaningful, academic, curricular linkages between the disciplines which bring about greater student engagement and fuller understanding of historical (and other) themes across disciplinary lines.
The University of Central Arkansas is located in Conway, AR...an easy 30 minute drive from Little Rock. National leaders such as Jean MacGregor (The Evergreen State College), William Fritz (Georgia State University), Dave Arnold (Missouri Western State University), and Ellen Goldey (Wofford College) will be presenting.
