The Graduate Program in History in Emporia State is issuing a call for papers for the First Annual Undergraduate/Graduate History Conference, to be held on April 11--12, 2003 on the campus of Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. We are looking for undergraduate and graduate paper or panel proposals on any topic of history. The keynote speaker for the conference will be Thomas J. Sugrue, the Bicentennial Class of 1940 Professor of History and Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania. We encourage any interested undergraduate or graduate student in History to send a proposalas to us by January 15, 2003.
