"Public History on the Central Coast" is the theme of the 2002 Annual Meeting of the California Council for the Promotion of History. The meeting will be held October 24-26 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in San Luis Obispo, California. For a conference program and registration info, visit the CCPH website.

CCPH is California's statewide public history organization, and the conference panels will reflect the wide variety of public history fields, including museums and historic sites, archives, historic preservation, cultural resources management, and community history. The program will include a special tour of Hearst Castle.
