CALL FOR PAPERS: ATOMIC CULTURE IN THE NUCLEAR AGE
The Southwest/Texas Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association invites panels and individual papers examining atomic culture for its annual conference to be held February 12-15, 2003 at the Albuquerque Hilton Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Possible areas of consideration include, but are not limited to:
Fiction and science fiction
The nuclear physicist as cultural figure
Located between Los Alamos and the Trinity Site, Albuquerque offers a unique place to consider cultural manifestations of atomic energy. Participants will have an opportunity to visit the National Atomic Museum.
Please send proposals for panels and individual papers (include a 100 word abstract and a one-page c.v.) by Dec. 1 to the address listed below.
