Teaching About Immigration: Creating Museum-School Programs

The workshop is geared for museum educators who are creating programs for school groups about immigration to their local community. The workshop will focus on identifying and developing appropriate themes, finding and using research sources, developing an appropriate curriculum with specific links to the frameworks, creating appropriate activities (including pre and post visit), and learning to evaluate the developed program. This workshop is intended primarily for staff, volunteers, and board members of historical societies and museums.
