A symposium to honor Frederic L. Holmes will be held at the Yale University School of Medicine on Friday 27 September 2002, 4:00-6:00p.m. The Historical symposium will explore investigative lives, experimental practices, and scientific creativity.
Dr. Holmes has served as Chair of the Section of the History of Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine for twenty-three years and devoted nearly half a century to scholaship that has transformed historical understanding of the life sciences.
Participants on the panel will be David A. Kessler, Jed Z. Buchwald, Mary Jo Nye, ALan J. Rocke, Frederic L. Holmes, and John Harley Warner.
The symposium will take place in the Beaumont Room at the Yale School of Medicine, 333 Cedar Street, New Haven, Connecticut
