The 21st Gulf South History and Humanities Conference, held at the Hilton Galveston Island Resort on October 17-19, 2002, will address various aspects of the history and cultures of the Gulf South. The Gulf South History Association will award its annual William S. Coker Prize in Gulf South History as well as its new Gulf South History Book Award during the Friday night banquet.
