Proposals are invited for an interdisciplinary panel regarding natural history and visual technologies. Possible topics include blurred boundaries between education and entertainment, epistemological debates regarding the image and scientific knowledge, the aesthetics of the nature film, nature television, Animal Planet, the Discovery Channel, film work of natural history museums, merchandising spin-offs, and/ or IMAX.
