Call for Papers
Now accepting contributions for an edited collection on law, censorship and gender in nineteenth century Britain. We are particularly interested in papers exploring the theoretical interfaces between these concepts and/or textual analyses of Victorian poetry, fiction or drama in reference to issues of gender and censorship. However, our interest is not only in literal examples of official legal censorship, but also in the ways in which broader cultural forces can have a censoring effect.
Submissions (three print copies, double-spaced, MLA style, 6000-8000 words, with academic affiliations and contact details) to be sent to the editors by 20 September 2002
