The Elizabethan and English Renaissance Area of the Popular Culture Association invites paper or panel proposals on any aspect of popular culture in England from c.1450-c.1750 for the 33rd annual Popular Culture Association Conference to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 16-19, 2003. Possible topics include, but are not limited to, popular entertainment, popular literature, popular music, gender, self and group identity, literacy, education, dress, popular religion, popular politics, regionalism and nationalism. Please send title, abstract, and contact information (including mailing address) to the area chair, Dr. Judy Ann Ford. Receipt of all submissions will be acknowledged by e-mail.
