The Women's History Network's Annual conference, in association with the Bedford Centre for the History of Women, is being held at Royal Holloway College, University of London, on 14th-15th September 2002. This year's theme is 'Earning and Learning' - all people active or interested in women's history are warmly invited to attend. This year's plenary speakers are Carol Dyhouse, Pat Thane and Deborah Simonton, all renowned for their work in the fields of women's education and employment. In addition there is a full programme of more than 70 papers and workshops from British and international speakers.
The Conference is being held in the impressive historic buildings of London University's Royal Holloway College. The Bedford Centre will provide opportunity to visit the College archives,which chronicle the foundation and development of one of the nineteenth century's pioneering women's colleges.
