This conference is for practitioners, programme managers and evaluators who are looking for alternative approaches to evaluation which offer insight into issues and problems in the real time of practice rather than in "after the event" reports which offer little or no possibilities for organisational development.
This conference will provide an introduction to action research for practice learning, development and evaluation in mainstream public and voluntary sector services, partnerships and government programmes. Drawing on SOLAR’s experience working in a wide variety of social and organisational settings, participants will have the opportunity to learn about different ways of using action research in the context of the dilemmas and possibilities experienced in their own work. The conference will be organised as a participatory learning event.
