Was ist Deutsch?: German Cultural Identity Before Goethe.
Panel for the SAMLA Convention,

Please email a short (150-250 word) abstract to
arrive by 29 April 2002 and indicate if you will need special audio/visual equipment. Panelists will be notified of acceptance on 30 April 2002.
Papers employing non-traditional approaches to
German texts and contexts, investigations of non-
canonical texts, and cross-disciplinary explorations
are especially welcome. Papers should have a
maximum reading length of 20 minutes.
SAMLA is the Southeast regional association of the Modern Language Association. All panelists must become members of the SAMLA by 1 July 2002 in order to receive pre-registration materials for the 2002 convention.
