This symposium will focus on the economic, racial, and cultural impact of globalization on the American South. Speakers include James Cobb, Peter Coclanis, Arthur Eckes, Sayuri Shimizu, Marco Maunula, Raymond Mohl, David Reimers, Nancy Mitchell, and Andrew DeRoche. A Saturday luncheon features an address by The Honorable Jung-pyo Cho, Korean Consul General in Atlanta.
