The Deakin University Research Priority Area in Citizenship and Globalisation calls for papers addressing the broad theme of cultural citizenship. The Conference will be held on the Burwood (Melbourne) Campus of Deakin University from 5-7 December 2002.
In an era of rapid cultural globalisation, and increasing local resistance, this timely conference examines the 'cultural dimension' of citizenship - both national, and global. The conference addresses a range of key questions for researchers, policy-makers and community workers around issues of cultural citizenship, identity, political participation and heritage.
