Encyclopedia of 20th-Century Technology seeks contributors
Fitzroy Dearbornís Encyclopedia of 20th-Century Technology, edited by Colin Hempstead is scheduled for publication in Spring 2003. As of March 2002, over 150 contributors have signed up. A small number of entries remain unassigned and we are seeking authors for these so that the list of entries can be closed and we can proceed with the writing and review phases. The entries on individual technologies will cover both history and technical details.
See the project website http://www.fitzroydearborn.com/london/tech/intro.htm for useful information about the project as well as a list of unassigned entries in alphabetical order (http://www.fitzroydearborn.com/london/tech/unass.htm). Contributors who are assigned entries will receive a copy of the Encyclopedia and a fee for further entries, and will be fully credited in the Encyclopedia. Deadlines will be from 31 May, or by arrangement. Please contact the publishers, enclosing brief details of your research and publications background.
