Prefecture Capitals, County Capitals, Towns and Villages, Rivers and Streams, Lakes, Coastline, Prefecture Boundaries, Topographic Background Images, DCW Contours, Taihu Lake District Sub-County data, Songjiang Prefecture Historical Change Data

The GIS datasets are published in MapInfo and ArcView Shapefile formats with Pinyin and Chinese Character names (either GBK or Unicode UTF-8 encoding). Free viewing software included.

A presentation on the CHGIS Version 1.0 release will be made at a Meeting-in-conjunction of the Association of Asian Studies Annual Conference
