Our website is now hosting 22 audio segments done by John Cleese on "Life and Philosophy" (Which pretty much covers it all, eh?) at: www.nodogs.org/mp3.html
They were written by some of us on the Centennial Committee of the American Philosophical Association for use as radio spots.
They vary widely in theme and focus, but some of my students thought they would be good as:
- conversation starters for class discussion, to be listened to the night before ("at least twice")
- as part of a "Philosophy Month" event, with one to be heard (individually, or as a class or school) each school day
I'm sure there may be other ways to use them. One reason I like them is that they are good philosophical listening exercises.
They can be downloaded and used in any way you want to try (except of course, you can't sell/lease/rent them)
