Call for Papers/Original Literature, Sport Literature Association Annual Meeting, University of Western Ontario, London, June 20-23, 2002. Two kinds of material will be considered:
- conventional academic paper addressing some aspect of sport literature--any sport, any literary genre (including film), any country or region, any era;
- original fiction, poetry, or film in which sport in some way is a central ingredient (author must be able to read/show work at conference).
All proposals should be received by April 15, 2002.
To submit a proposal for a critical/analytical paper, send a description of your thesis or approach and a sketch of how you plan to develop it (with title); brief biographical description; your mailing address, email address,and telephone number(s).
To submit a proposal to read/show your original work, for fiction, send a few pages of your work reflecting your subject and style; for poetry, a representative piece or two; for film, a description of the subject, approach, and style; a brief biographical description; your mailing address, email address,and telephone number(s).
