The 48th annual meeting of the Business History Conference will take place April 18-20 at the Hagley Museum and Library in Wilmington, Delaware. A highly international program organized around the theme, “Corporate Governance” will include 60 papers and several plenary sessions. At its Saturday evening banquet the BHC will honor Alfred D. Chandler Jr. with its first Lifetime Achievement Award. The conference hotel, the Sheraton Suites, is holding a block of rooms at $89/night, single or double occupancy, until March 29. Pre-registration is $50 for regular BHC members and $65 for non-members. Registration fees are waived for graduate student BHC members, though student non-members will have to pay $20. Pre-registration closes April 12, on site registration adds $10 to all amounts.
