"History of Intellectual Culture" (ISSN 1492-7810) is a new academic peer-reviewed e-journal that provides a forum for publication and discussion of original research on the socio-historical contexts of ideas and ideologies and their relationships to community and state formation, physical environments, human and institutional agency, personal and collective identity, and lived experience. The journal highlights the viability and vibrancy of intellectual history as a scholarly field, presents new perspectives for research and analysis, and welcomes critical discussion among scholars and students across disciplines.
Papers on the history of higher education are of particular relevance to the journal. We also encourage the submission of student papers based on original primary research.
HIC is published by the University of Calgary Press (Alberta, Canada). The website is: http://www.ucalgary.ca/hic/
