The 21st Gulf South Conference, held at the Hilton Galveston Island Resort in Galveston, welcomes papers and panels exploring all aspects of Gulf South history and culture. The Gulf South Historical Association awards the William S. Coker Prize for the best graduate level paper presented. The winning paper receives a $250.00 cash prize and is eligible for publication in the juried journal, Gulf South Historical Review.
All proposals must be postmarked by 1 May 2002. Please submit a brief c.v., the title of the paper and a short abstract. Panes organizers must provide the same for all participants.
