The Medieval & Early Modern Interest Group of the National Women's Studies Association (NWSA) is seeking submissions for a concurrent session that it is sponsoring at the NWSA Conference in Las Vegas in June 2002. The session is scheduled for Saturday, June 15 from 3:45 to 5 pm. Additional information about the conference is available on the website.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS MAY 1, 2002.
The purpose of the NWSA Medieval & Early Modern Interest Group is to promote discussion of scholarly and pedagogical issues related to gender and sexuality in the Middle Ages and early modern period. The Interest Group encourages submissions that are interdisciplinary explorations of these topics and that reflect the heterogeneity of medieval and early modern cultures along the vectors of class, language, nationality, culture, race, religion, and geography. Also encouraged are presentations examining encounters between Europeans and populations in the Middle East and Central Asia.
