Feuchtwanger und die europäischen Emigranten in Kalifornien
25-27 April 2003
Villa Aurora & University of Southern California
The International Feuchtwanger Society was founded in July 2001 by eleven scholars from Europe and the USA at a meeting at the Villa Aurora in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles. It aims to promote scholarship on the life and works of Lion and Marta Feuchtwanger. The first Feuchtwanger Conference will focus on the life of the Feuchtwangers and the other European émigrés in California in the 1930s and 1940s. Papers on all aspects of this topic are welcome, in either English or German. Papers from postgraduates are also welcome: it is intended to have a postgraduate panel within the framework of the conference. A panel will select papers after the closing date and notify by 31 May 2002.
A selection of papers will be published in a monograph.
