Seeking academics and professional writers with a background in American history and a knowledge of American sports during the 1930s and/or 1940s.
Writers will compose the sports chapter in a reference book intended for a high-school/undergraduate audience, by selecting and writing context for primary documents from the era (such as contracts, letters, posters, etc.). There will be 18 documents for each chapter and context for each document will be roughly 1000 words.
Writers must adhere to style specifications and must be able to meet deadlines. Writers will receive a byline and $1800 for each chapter. Submit a resume and a short, unpublished writing sample for consideration.
