The University of Sussex Postgradute History Forum is pleased to announce its conference for postgraduate students in the humanities and social sciences, to be held on 11th and 12th April 2002 on the theme of Inclusion and Exclusion.
The conference aims to provide a forum for the presentation of a wide range of MA and PhD students' research. A designated ESRC Training Event, it will also give participants the opportunity to develop a range of transferable skills. To facilitate this, a great deal of emphasis will be placed upon informal discussion and debate, and career development sessions will also be included.
Papers will be given on topics such as:
Oral History in Theory and in Practice
Exclusion by Gender
The Legacy of National Socialism
Career development sessions will focus on getting an academic job and publishing research, archive work and working in the media.
