This year the annual conference of the WAWH will be at the Huntington Libary in San Marino, CA, April 19-21, 2002. Our keynote speaker is Linda Gordon. Her most recent publication is the prize-winning book, The Great Arizona Orphan Abduction. Drawing on her research for that book, she will be talking on “Gender, Race, and Citizenship on the Southwestern Frontier.” The program includes an array of distinguished historians presenting their research and commenting on the work of others. This year’s program also continues our tradition of supporting the work of younger historians and graduate students. Full conference program and registration forms are available online at http://www.wawh.org. The pre-registration deadline is March 29, 2002.
