This is a one-day conference, open to the public, sponsored by the Centre for the Study of Britain and its Empire, University of Southampton. Topics include the Titanic, David Livingstone, the King Alfred Commemoration of 1901, Netley Military Hospital, World War 1, Port Jews and the Earl of Carnarvon. The Conference is on March 23, 2002.
