BRIDGES WOMEN BUILD: SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND BEYOND
The 17th Annual All-University Conference on
The Advancement of Women in Higher Education
To take place at the University Center, Texas Tech University, April 12, 2002
Faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students from all disciplines are invited to share research papers, projects, or works-in-progress at paper, poster and demonstration project sessions for Texas Tech’s 2002 All-University Conference on Women in Higher Education. Proposals are due by MARCH 1, 2002. Include a title page indicating whether the proposal is for a paper, poster or demonstration project and contact information for each author (name, address, phone, email) plus a substantive description of the paper or project that is no more than ONE, SINGLE-SPACED PAGE. Demonstration project proposals should indicate required resources (e.g., time, space, equipment). Send proposals either via mail (THREE copies) or email (a Word attachment)to the contact listed below. Contributors will be notified by March 8.
The conference will feature keynote addresses by Dr. Londa Schiebinger of Penn State on “Has Feminism Changed Science” and Dr. Sue V. Rosser of Georgia Tech on the climate for women in the scientific and technological fields. Paper presentations, posters sessions and demonstration projects will highlight research and artistic work by and about women or relevant to the conference theme.
