ABOUT H-GENDER-MIDEAST
The H-GENDER-MIDEAST network seeks to establish an active dialogue on
issues of gender in the Arabic speaking Middle East, Turkey, the Caucuses,
Central Asia, Western Asia, the Mediterranean and sub-Saharan Africa. Its
aim is to structure a network in tune with shifting articulations of
geographical connections. The network furthermore intends to bring
together gender-focused issues from within a wide range of
interdisciplinary positions.
H-GENDER-MIDEAST is co-edited by Martina Rieker mrieker@aucegypt.edu and
Cynthia Nelson cynthia@aucegypt.edu. It is advised by a board of scholars.
Like all H-Net lists, H-GENDER-MIDEAST is moderated to edit out
