We seek at least one paper to complete a panel on "Consumer Culture and Religious Identity" for the 2003 AHA meeting in Chicago, IL, January 2-5, 2003. Topics should address the relationship between consumer culture and the identity of any religious denomination (Jewish and Mormon are already represented). The paper may focus on any period of American history, although we would prefer the twentieth century. Send email or hard copy of 500-word abstract and 2-3 page vita to panel organizer at address below. Consult the AHA website for more information, or contact panel organizer below.
Please submit paper proposals by January 15, 2002.
