The International Association for the Study of Turkic Musical Cultures is organizing an international symposium on 13-19 May 2002 on "Turkic Music and the Youth."
Papers examining the relationship of musical turkology to other fields of academic endeavor, including anthropology, art history, computer science, esthetics, historiography, literary studies, mathematics, philosophy, and sociology as well as the aims and scope of Turkic musicology today may also be presented.
