Proposals of papers and panels are invited for an international conference examining the legal and economic status of women--mainstream, ethnic and indigenous--in Australia and Canada.
Paper proposals are invited on topics including, but not limited to:
the historical study of women's subordinate status in colonial Australia and Canada
women and property regimes in colonial and post-colonial society
poverty and women in contemporary society
sex-based wage disparity in contemporary society
marriage, divorce and women's economic status
Send an abstract of approximately 100 words, with a brief CV, and a return email address to, by 30 JANUARY 2002 to the address below.
