We invite applicants to submit proposals of 250 words for individual papers or panels of 2-3 papers. Panels can be organized around any theme related to historical research. Papers will be organized into sessions of 2 or 3 papers and 20 minutes will be allotted for the presentation of each paper. Papers from all areas of history, and from other disciplines touching on historical issues, are welcome.
The Organizing Committee expects the 8th Annual Underhill Colloquium to continue the success of the past seven years, with students from various departments and universities delivering papers on diverse topics of historical research. One noted feature of the colloquium is the inclusion of a keynote address delivered by a distinguished guest speaker. Past speakers have included, Ian Hacking, Modris Eksteins, Ian McKay and Karen Dubinsky. This year John English from the Univeristy of Waterloo will deliver the keynote address.
Direct submissions to the Organizing Committee at the address below or e-mail to: underhillgsc@hotmail.com
