The University of Mississippi announces a call for papers for the 7th Annual Graduate Conference on Southern History, to be held March 1-2, 2002 at the Oxford MS campus. All topics on Southern History are welcome, including comparative studies. Thavolia Glymph, Professor of African American History at Duke University, will be the keynote speaker. All Papers presented at the conference will be eligible for the Antoine Alenander and L.C. Tennin Awards for excellence in Southern scholarship. These cash awards are presented in the memory of two graduate students killed in an automobile accident November 1, 2001.
Please send a 1-2 page abstract, discussing topic, thesis, sources and conclusion and a vita to the address listed. We look forward to hearing from you!
