Extended deadline: Seeking abstracts for papers in the area of computer culture for several possible panels at the pop. culture/ american culture conference. Papers may analyze specific Internet culture sites (chat rooms, fora, news outlets, virtual communities of any sort) or may discuss and redefine the concept of "culture" in the context of the Web, or may explore advertising and other diverse commercial aspects of Web culture.

Please e-mail your title and brief abstract (less than a page, if possible).

Include in your e-mail a note of introduction, mentioning your previous work, academic background and interests, etc., anything that might seem relevant. (Note, however: a background in Internet scholarship is not required.)
