CALL FOR PAPERS: "Acting Up and Acting Out in Early Modern England" (deadline: 1/31/02; symposium date: 3/28/02)
The University of Mississippi's Early Modern Studies Program is hosting a symposium in conjunction with its Annual Savage Lecture in the Renaissance, March 28, 2002. The topic of the colloquium will be: "Acting Up and Acting Out in Early Modern England."
Keynote Speaker for the colloquium, David Scott Kastan, will speak on "Criminality and the
Underworld in Shakespeare's Henry Plays."
Contributors are invited to submit papers on any aspect of the topic for a limited number of panel seats. Completed essays will be read in advance and discussed in seminar format. Please submit abstracts or completed essays by January 31, 2002 to Ivo Kamps at the address below or by email.
A small number of subsidised rooms for graduate students will be made available.
