The Institute of African American Research at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites submissions of papers for its 8th Annual Student Academic Conference. Papers should:
- Address contemporary transnational flows of people, information and knowledge, and/or cultural expressions between continental Africa and its Diaspora;
- Explore (historical) cultural continuities between continental Africa and its Diaspora; or that
- Examine the above relationships between populations.
Submit 3 copies of abstract and paper along with
electronic copy (25 page maximum plus references)
CONFERENCE DATES: FEBRUARY 22 & 23, 2002
Best Graduate Paper: $400
Best Undergraduate Paper: $200
