St. John's Abbey and University in Collegeville, MN are pleased to announce a series of events celebrating the work of Marcel Breuer, beginning October 24, 2001 - with the 40th Anniversary of the Abbey Church - and culminating in a spring exhibition and symposium June 23-26, 2002. On November 14, 2001 architect Robert Gatje will lecture on his association with Breuer and on April 24, 2002 John Wesley Cook, President of the Henry Luce Foundation, will deliver the second Breuer lecture, "Art, Architecture and Sacred Space."
