This conference will bring together specialists in economics, political science, environmental studies, public policy studies, contemporary history, cultural studies, and business from the U.S., Austria and the various other Central European nations.
Scholarly papers and discussions will focus on the significant environmental and development issues in Central Europe since the late 1980s, as well as the implications for future economic and social development, regional cooperation, and the position of Central Europe in an increasingly united Europe.
Proposals are due by 1 February 2002.
