Professor John F. Richards of Duke University will discuss the depletion of the world's wildlife on land and sea that occurred between the 16th and 19th centuries and its relation to the expansion of European commercial hunting in that era.
Professor Richards will speak on "The World Hunt, Species Depletion and European Expansion" on November 1 at 4 PM in Room 106, Smith-Buonanno Hall, Brown University. This building is on the Pembroke Campus of Brown, and accessible from Brown Street and Meeting Street.
