"A Gathering of Women: Arkansas Women 1930-2000"

"A Gathering of Women" explores the history of women in Arkansas during the last seventy years. An underexplored area, the website focuses on the everyday women of the state and the accomplishments they made, despite immense poverty in much of the state. Much of the research was conducted by an electronic questionnaire distributed across the state. The biographies section recognizes women who made outstanding contributions to the state and nation. Basic lesson plans are also included for teachers. The website supplements a traveling exhibit of the same name.
