Please join the History Department at Brown University on Saturday, September 29, for a comparative lecture forum featuring the latest historical scholarship on consumer culture. Specialists in American, European, and African history will discuss the challenges involved in connecting the history of consumerism to the history of state building and the construction of national identities.
