We would like to announce the launch of a new web based resource on the 1951 Festival of Britain.

The site consists of two linked components, an exhibition exploring the Festival and an on-line catalogue. Between May and June 2001, the Museum of London invited its visitors and users of its website to send in their memories of the Festival of Britain for inclusion in an online exhibition. These contributions, together with objects, photographs and drawings from the Museum's collection, are at the core of the exhibition. Underlying the exhibition is a searchable catalogue of over 400 items from the Museum's extensive collection of Festival related material.
