The Third Annual Graduate Symposium on Women's and Gender History, a multi-disciplinary conference at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, announces a Call for Papers. The Symposium, which is intended to kick off the activities on campus in celebration of Women's History Month, is scheduled for March 7th-9th, 2002. To celebrate and encourage further work in the women's and gender historical field, we invite submissions from graduate students from any institution or discipline on any topic in women's or gender
history. We welcome papers on any historical subject that might
grow out of a variety of disciplines and engage an equal diversity of
methodologies. We also welcome panel submissions, which should include
three papers united by a common theme or geographical/chronological
focus, although the three papers will be judged on their individual
merits. We also invite interested graduate students to provide
commentary for panels, as well as professors interested in chairing
panels.

one-page curriculum vitae, to the address below. All submissions must be postmarked by October 31, 2001.We regret that we cannot accept any submissions over e-mail.
