This conference, co-sponsored by MAWHA and ECCSSA, includes teaching workshops that range from incorporating music, art, literature, and technology into World History classes, to those highlighting Asian and African-centered perspectives, along with addressing the issue of Standardized Testing in World History. Research seminars will deal with Imperialism,Comparative and Women's History, the Environment, Conflict Resolution, and War, Diplomacy and National Identity. Featured speakers include Alfred Crosby, Emeritus Professor of American Studies, University of Texas, Austin, and Howard Spodek, Professor of History and Geography/Urban Studies, Temple University.
