In September Professor Dr. Dietrich Ebeling (University of Trier) and Dr. Steve King (Oxford Brookes University) jointly organise an international conference under the title ‚Paths of Industrialisation'.The conference will take place at St. Peter's College in Oxford. It will start on Thursday, 13th of September, at 5 p.m. with an introductionary public lecture and will end in the afternoon of Saturday, 15th of September, with a concluding discussion.
The conference wants to foster the discussion about different approaches to analyse the industrialisation process and about the different central features of that process. Every single sessions will start with a main paper, which will give an overview about the literature and the debate on the specific topic together with the point of view of the speaker. Then several specialists will comment the main paper to start the general discussion about the session's topic. The aim of the conference is not to present one research paper after the other but to have an open and stimulating debate about the current paths of research on industrialisation. For details please have a look on the programme below.
Interested people are invited to participate at the conference and to join the discussion. The price for Bed & Breakfast at St. Peter's College will be 35,-- Pound Sterling each day, for a complete accomodation it will be 50,-- Pound Sterling. For registration and further questions please contact:
