Diaspora Paradigms: New Scholarship in Comparative Black History, A Symposium will be held September 20-23, 2001 at the Michigan State University, Kellogg Center. An internationally diverse group of panelists will present fifty-nine papers concerning history, culture, and identity in the African Diaspora. Six renowned keynote speakers and students will also explore the shared experiences and differences among peoples of African descent across the globe through comparative thematic sessions, keynote addresses, and scholarly debate on various topics concerning the Black Diasporan Studies.
