The Elizabethan and English Renaissance Area invites submissions on any aspect of popular culture in England from c. 1450-1750 for the 32nd Annual National Conference of the Popular Culture Association to be held in Toronto, Canada on March 13-17, 2002. Please submit a title, an abstract and contact information. Both panels and single papers will be considered.
Topics include, but are not limited to: popular entertainment popular literature popular music gender self and group identity literacy education dress popular religion regionalism nationalism.
